Convergence Vineyards Visit & Tasting Notes

Convergence Vineyards is located in Plymouth California, outside of Lodi in the Amador Valley named for the three rivers that converge on the property.  Its an 8 year old working winery that focuses on Rhone varietals.

We tasted the following wines:

  • 2007 Sauvignon Blanc ($16) - tasty, light with citrus.
  • 2006 Mourvedre ($22) - light looking, easy drinking but nothing special
  • 2006 Zinfandel ($24) - easy, lacking the spice common with zin but
  • nice drinking.
  • 2006 Barbera ($26) - mouthful of flavor, wonderful with BBQ style
  • 2006 Petite Sirah ($21) -
  • 2005 Port ($35) - wonderful port for the light port drinker

Convergence is a nice location, the winemakers/owners worked the tasting room on the weekend and the wine is all drinkable, quality vino. Everything is sold direct from the winery (to restaurants & consumers).  If you're wine tasting in the Amador Valley, this is a nice stop on any trip.
