We capped off our babymoon (kind of like a honeymoon but typically shorter and in celebration of a looming baby birth) with a dinner at Cyrus Restaurant in Healdsburg. This is our second trip to Cyrus, where you can order al la carte or allow the chef's tasting menu to guide you.
On both visits my better half insisted we go with the eight course blind route, leading us down the path of total decadence and borderline sickness. Located in the La Mars hotel just off the square in Healdsburg, this is truly a dining experience. The tasting menu includes five courses of savory dishes, then a massive cheese platter that provides the diner a choice of 16 different varietals that are delicious. That's followed by two dessert courses and a cart for take home treats. Cyrus is known for their cocktails, seasonal in nature, I enjoyed a home made eggnog with bourbon concoction. That was an ideal finish to a wonderful meal and night.
This is the second great review of Cyrus that I've come across in a week (the other one is at http://www.oneforthetable.com/oftt/stories/grape-expectations.html) - definitely adding it to my list. (And I wish I'd thought of having a babymoon).

Babymoon's are a great excuse for a pre-delivery trip. And Cyrus is a great destination for that trip :)
